Yuri was invited by boyars to ascend the Galitsko-Volynsky throne after the Romanovichs’ generation vanished. This date allows to assume that the castle was built by one of the Galytsko-Volynsky prince Yuri’s Lvovich sons, namely by Andrew or Lev.
12:00. Podgoretsly castle: the Podgoretsly castle was built by French engineer Boplan in the seventeenth century. And the three-stored palace was raised by Italian Del Aqua. This castle is more like a palace than a fortress and contrasts with severe warlike Podolye outposts. For the first time, in 1445, it is mentioned in documents of the Batyis’ Brody yards in Pidgirtsi village. Perhaps, this is a Latin name of a fortification placed on the Podgoretska Mountain.
14:00. Lunch (for extra fees).
15:00. Zolochevsky castle: the Zolochevsky castle was built in the 1630-s as a citadel with bastions, the castle was possessed by the Sobeskys and the Radzivills in XVII-XVIII centuries.
