Mariinsky Palace- historic landmark XVIII-XIX century in the baroque style.

Building of the President’s Administration

House with chimeras»- famous in Kievbuilding, built in 1902-1903 by architect V. Gorodetsky

House of crying widow - one of the most beautiful modern mansions in Kiev. «Chocolate house» - a historic landmark of the beginning of the XX century.

Former Institute of Noble Maidens/October palace of culture (nowadays- International centre of arts and culture).

National Bank of Ukraine.

Klovsky palace, built in 1756 due to architects G. Shedel and P. Neelov’s project.

Lunch

Visiting National Museum of the WWII history, Park of Glory (monument «Motherland», exposition of military equipment).

Dinner

Night city walking. Free time.

DAY 2

Breakfast. Meeting with guide in the hall of hotel.

Visiting National Kiev-Pechersk Lavra (sightseeing of the monastery buildings, Near and Far caves, expositions).

After lunch - firsthand view of Kiev’s architecture.

St. Vladimir’s cathedral – brilliant example of artand architecture.

Golden Gate - one of the few landmarks of defence architecture in Kiev Rus, saved till nowadays.

St. Sophia Cathedral – the magnificent 13- domedCathedral of XI century. Monument to B.K.Khmelnitsky

St. Michael’s Cathedral of Golden Dome – a place of burial of several Kiev’s princess’ generations.

Vladimir’s hill. Monument to St. Vladimir

Dinner. Free time

DAY3

Breakfast. Meeting with guide in the hotel.

Desiatynna Church – the first stony cathedral of Kiev Rus built in 996.

Walk along Andriivsky Uzviz (Descent):

St. Andrew’s church – a pearl of Baroque style built in 1744 due to Elizabeth’s I arrival to Kiev.
