Sun, Day 2: Delhi

Mon, Day 3: Delhi-Jaipur
The cradle of arts and crafts
Journey westward to the picturesque capital of Rajasthan–the beautiful Jaipur, a city awash with pink, the color of hospitality in Rajput culture. Meet Jaipur around midday and spend your remaining day exploring the manifold facets of “Pink” city. ‘Pink’ is definitely a bold pick for a town and Jaipur flaunts it generously!

Tue, Day 4: Jaipur
A slice of great opulence
Jaipur’s distinctive appeal lies in its historical artefacts, bustling bazaars or even in its multi-colored turbaned locals. From City Palace that is home to the former royal family to Jantar Mantar, the royal observatory upholding a fantastic aspect and the honeycomb Hawa Mahal staring the bazaar below. And just out of sight, in the dry hilly outskirts surrounding the city is the legendary splendor of Amber Fort, Jaipur’s star magnet. With so much on offer, Jaipur is sure to fascinate you with her princely past and fascinating crafts.

Wed, Day 5: Jaipur-Fatehpur Sikri-Agra
Onward to the city of incredible Taj Mahal
En route Agra, Fatehpur Sikri is your next stop! On a balmy morning, journey further on the slender stretch along truckers, dawdling camels and cars, and suddenly-quite unexpectedly traffic coming to a halt is a common sight, as cows seem to be everywhere, left, right and center. And have a right of way! Meet Agra around dusk; a town incredible for its UNESCO crowned sights. Only a few cities can match the iconic standing that Agra boasts in the fancy of travelers the world over. It may be clichéd but no Indian landmark embraces blue sky as enthusiastically as Taj Mahal, no matter which way the compass needle swings, you will find it striking from any and every angle. Dusk is a happy time for wonderful encounters with local people and come night time, when the moonlight hits, it is nothing short of magic. It is, just, whimsical, impeccable beauty.

Thur, Day 6: Agra-Varanasi
Saints, poets and pilgrims
Later in the afternoon, assisted transfer to the airport to catch flight towards the spiritual capital of India, Varanasi. This evening, visit the banks of the sacred Ganges for a special evening cruise on the Ganges River on country boats to see the devout Hindus performing the "Arti Puja" with lighted lamps. The presiding priests stand on a Chauki (wooden stand) near the water. To the chant of Sanskrit mantras, and the clash of cymbals and drums, the river is worshiped with flowers, incense, sandalwood, milk and vermilion. First the blazing camphor lamp and then the many flamed aarti lamps are raised high and then arched back to the water, the dark river reflecting the golden flames as Ganges accepts the worship. It is the Ganges that gives Varanasi its spiritual resonance.

Friday, Day 7: Varanasi
A people to people experience
Early this morning, take a boat ride and watch the wonderful colors of the sunrise as you meander along the sacred Ganges River. As part of their pilgrimage rites, the faithful walk down steps into the river to perform their religious ablutions. Watching the people worshiping at the Ghats is an extraordinary experience. You may also witness a funeral pyre, an essential part of the traditional Hindu funeral ceremony.
You will always remember a walk along the Ghats or a boat ride on the river. Spend the day winding through the streets and popping out onto the riverside will give you an insider’s look at the symbiotic life of the riverside people of Varanasi. You have the possibility to visit Sarnath as a day excursion, as it is here that Buddhism found its roots and Buddha gave his first sermon

Sat, Day 8: Varanasi–Delhi
Homeward Bound
This morning, you have some free time to take in some more of Varanasi. Later transfer to the airport to fly to Delhi. Arrive into Delhi in time to catch flight for your onward destination.
