Sat, Day 1: Arrival into Delhi

A hearty and warm welcome awaits you!

Meet Delhi; a city of architectural beauties and dazzling contrasts, one part of the city is more advanced   with   high rise   towers,   an   upbeat   city   life, and   a   blossoming   culinary   and contemporary art  scene  while another part  is packed  with  ancient  yet  vibrant  art, beautifully preserved architecture, and a rich history.

Sure the crowded streets, incessant honking of horns, swerving motorbikes and rickshaws and the  pell mell  of  the motley  traffic,  where  even  cows compete  for  space  may  be  a  little overwhelming.  But  as  you  meander  along the  maze  of  streets  with  an  enthusiasm  to  get  lost, and  as  you  ramble  past  colorful  chaotic  sprawl  and bask  in  its  captivating  history  and contemporary culture, you fill find that the energy and the vibe is unlike any other place in the World.

Overnight: Dehli

Sun, Day 2: Delhi

Take in a dose of history and a dollop of contemporary culture

This  thriving,  self confident  capital  will  win  your  heart  with  its  art,  history  and  Culture.  As you  visit  the different  parts  of  the  city,  thanks  to  the  diversity  of  each  area,  you  will  notice the Delhi “buzz” is continually on the move and her moods survive with certain grace and civility, hospitality and community spirit.

A  varied  menu of  experiences  including  spinning  in  the  stunning  confines  of  Old  Delhi, treading past havelis that tell fantastic stories of years past, wandering leisurely around the colorful  frenzied  backstreets,  climbing ancient ruins,  visits  to  historic  sights,  to  museums with charming work of art and displays; is sure to take you by surprise and stir your senses.

Overnight: Dehli

Mon, Day 3: Delhi-Jaipur

The cradle of arts and crafts

Journey westward to the picturesque capital of Rajasthan–the beautiful Jaipur, a city awash with pink, the color of hospitality in Rajput culture. Meet Jaipur around  midday  and  spend  your  remaining  day  exploring  the  manifold facets  of “Pink” city. ‘Pink’ is definitely a bold pick for a town and Jaipur flaunts it generously!

Overnight: Jaipur

Tue, Day 4: Jaipur

A slice of great opulence

Jaipur’s distinctive appeal lies in its historical artefacts, bustling bazaars or even in its multi-colored turbaned locals. From City Palace that is home to the former royal family to Jantar Mantar, the  royal  observatory  upholding  a fantastic  aspect  and  the  honeycomb  Hawa  Mahal  staring  the bazaar below. And  just out  of sight,  in  the  dry hilly outskirts  surrounding the  city  is  the  legendary splendor of Amber Fort, Jaipur’s star magnet.  With so much on offer, Jaipur is sure to fascinate you with her princely past and fascinating crafts.

Overnight: Jaipur

Wed, Day 5: Jaipur-Fatehpur Sikri-Agra

Onward to the city of incredible Taj Mahal

En  route  Agra,  Fatehpur  Sikri  is  your  next  stop!    On  a  balmy  morning,  journey  further  on  the slender stretch  along truckers,  dawdling  camels  and  cars,  and  suddenly-quite  unexpectedly traffic coming to a halt is a common sight, as cows seem to be everywhere, left, right and center. And have a right of way! Meet  Agra around dusk;  a  town incredible  for  its  UNESCO  crowned  sights. Only a  few  cities  can match  the  iconic  standing  that Agra  boasts  in  the  fancy  of  travelers  the  world  over.  It  may  be clichéd  but  no  Indian  landmark  embraces blue  sky  as  enthusiastically  as  Taj  Mahal,  no  matter which way the compass needle swings, you will find it striking from any and every angle. Dusk  is  a happy time for  wonderful encounters  with  local people  and come night time, when the moonlight hits, it is nothing short of magic. It is, just, whimsical, impeccable beauty.

Overnight: Agra

Thur, Day 6: Agra-Varanasi

Saints, poets and pilgrims

Later in the afternoon, assisted transfer to the airport to catch flight towards the spiritual capital of India, Varanasi. This evening, visit the banks of the sacred Ganges for a special evening cruise on the Ganges River on country  boats  to  see  the  devout  Hindus  performing  the  "Arti  Puja"  with  lighted  lamps.  The presiding  priests stand  on  a  Chauki  (wooden  stand)  near  the  water.  To  the  chant  of  Sanskrit mantras,  and  the  clash  of cymbals  and  drums,  the  river  is  worshiped  with  flowers,  incense, sandalwood, milk and vermilion. First the blazing camphor lamp and then the many flamed aarti lamps  are  raised  high  and  then  arched  back  to the  water, the  dark  river  reflecting  the  golden flames as Ganges accepts the worship.  It is the Ganges that gives Varanasi its spiritual resonance.

Overnight: Varanasi

Friday, Day 7: Varanasi

A people to people experience

Early this morning, take a boat ride and watch the wonderful colors of the sunrise as you meander along the sacred Ganges River.  As part of their pilgrimage rites, the faithful walk down steps into the river to perform their religious ablutions.  Watching the people worshiping at the Ghats is an extraordinary experience.  You may also witness a funeral pyre, an essential part of the traditional Hindu funeral ceremony.

You  will  always  remember  a  walk  along  the  Ghats  or  a  boat  ride  on  the  river.  Spend  the  day winding through the streets and popping out onto the riverside will give you an insider’s look at the symbiotic life of the riverside people of Varanasi. You  have  the  possibility  to  visit  Sarnath  as  a  day  excursion,  as  it  is  here  that Buddhism  found  its roots and Buddha gave his first sermon
